Topic: NL being slow today?

Just a quick Q to the nice guys at NintendoLife:

Is it just me or is NL loading REALLY slow today? Anything going on in the background guys because I'm not having problems surfing, except here?

(I did try to find a relevant topic, but couldn't, or didn't look hard enough)

I complained of the same thing yesterday. It is sluggish off and on. It's better today than it was late last night.

Quite a few people logging on at the moment - Mondays are always the busiest days here, so I guess it's just a general build-up of traffic. Unless Ant's beavering away on something we don't know about behind the scenes...

Hhm, ok I'll just hope it sorts itself out. Has hung a few times and usually its super fast here. I'll check back if it continues and delete the thread if it don't. ta!

I've noticed that too, both today and yesterday, but it seems to be getting better now.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's still ridiculously slow.

How much server load do we take up?
Is it enough to warrant a server upgrade?

Yeah, I think we could definitely do with a new server - or maybe two, at this rate...

It has been slow, but personally I'd just spam your ISP (and NL's).

It's doin' the bad thing again guys, what are you up to back there, this can't just be traffic surely?

And yeah I tested my connection its 32MB right now, and every other site loads quick, including stinky bloat boy IGN.

Any ideas? Or is this just a 'Monday thing'.

It wouldn't load for me just now for a few minutes.

Ten minutes, it took me, just to open this page.

EDIT: And more than five minutes to see my comment (not including the two minutes it took to send the comment).

yesterday and earlier this morning was fine, but over the past hour it's gotten pretty bad. it took a post i was just trying to edit about ten minutes (over multiple retries) to load. o_O
