When i click on my profile and then click on my "Nintendo Network ID" it says:

"The user could not be found. Either the user does not exist or the user has not set up Miiverse yet."
I don't understand, i created a Mii the night i got the Nintendo Switch, so what do i do to ensure i get my name legit?
Thanks.

U can`t get Nintendo Network ID on Switch.

Nintendo Network ID is a feature of Wii U and 3DS, not Switch. Switch usernames are not unique and can be changed at any time. There's no profile field for them on this site, although there really ought to be one for Switch friend codes.

So you are saying my ID isn't really safe and anyone can be ReeLongbow and my true ID is those little numbers required to add people?

@Zyrac I clicked your profile links and everything is set up, mine is all blank.

Basically, yeah. Nintendo's account system is a little convoluted right now because of how they've changed stuff for the Switch, but that's the important bit.

The Nintendo Network profile link goes to your Miiverse page, which is (to my regret) not something you can have on Switch, so the field isn't really any use to you.

I notice your PlayStation Network link doesn't seem to work either but I don't know anything about that.

@Zyrac Thanks for the info. And that is weird, my PSN ID is very well established for years since 2010.

@SeherBysner so...what do we do? are we screwed with our user ID being not secured while the wii-wii u users have theirs locked in? this is all weird.

From my understanding, NNID was Wii U and 3DS while the Switch uses a Nintendo Account.

Current games: Everything on Switch

Switch Friend Code: SW-5075-7879-0008 | My Nintendo: LzWinky | Nintendo Network ID: LzWinky

Having a Wii U doesn't make my Switch name any more secure than yours. It's a seperate system. It's not an NNID and not technically a Nintendo Account either, although it does have links to the latter. Like I said, convoluted.

Oh, and most Wii U and 3DS games refer to you by your Mii name anyway. Those aren't unique either.
