Did you guys mess with some of this site's JavaScript code sometime in the last couple of days? It's acting kind of screwy in Internet Explorer right now.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Some portions of the user tab will strangely increase in size upon mouse-over (but only when on an article page), and article comments gain scroll bars that block access to the links at the bottom of the comment upon mouse-over

There's your problem.
Usually Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are better bets when browsing the internet. On mobile I'm stuck with IE since I have a Windows Phone, but I haven't been experiencing any problems.

That's like owning an Ouya as your main gaming console.
Unfortunately I'm stuck with it at this point until my company allows me to upgrade my phone (I'm on their plan). Overall I love my phone, barring two things: 1. I'm stuck with IE, and 2. Not much of an app market. I got it back before Microsoft basically chucked the platform. It's not a bad business phone, but I'm pretty sure I'll opt for a Droid next time. XD

@Tyranexx For JavaScript compatibility, yes, but IE gives me better performance, so I use it alongside FireFox. It's still a mainstream browser, so web sites should still try to remain as compatible as possible with it.

@BulbasaurusRex: That's fair reasoning. I wasn't indicating that the problem shouldn't be fixed in IE (since it is a mainstream browser, like you mentioned), only that you would probably have better luck with different browsers.
In my experience with web development, IE can be difficult to work with. It has come along in leaps and bounds since the infamous IE6, but I usually recommend Firefox or Chrome in most instances.
