Topic: NaN undefinedth undefined, Invalid - 00:00

Not sure if the site is undergoing changes at the moment or something, but all the articles and forums (not threads however) have a date and time of "NaN undefinedth undefined, Invalid - 00:00" on them. I'm not the only one experiencing this, correct? Sorry for taking your time.

Yeah I noticed it, but I thought I was the only one because until you, no one was talking about it..

It's still happening to me though. I just realized however that it is correct as the page starts loading, but by the time it's finished, it would once again be replaced by "NaN undefinedth undefined, Invalid - 00:00".

@Happy_Mask what web browser & version are you using?

I have been messing with the dates today, so I'm sure it's related

I am getting it too, but yeah, no one else was talking about it.

@Intrepid I got it in Safari, but now I am no longer having the issue. When was the last time you checked?

@happy_mask is it showing your local time above posts? Or GMT?

@Ant It appears in BST while I am EST.

NaN means Not A Number and is the error thrown by Javascript when you try to do some arithmic operation on a non-numeric value, usually an empty (time)string.

huh, i just noticed that all the times are showing up in BST for myself as well, both for the forums and main site.

What browser/versions are you using?

I'm using Safari from an i-Pad, I'm not entirely sure how to check the version number however.

I'm using Firefox 21.0, it says it's up to date. Chrome's doing it as well, it's Version '27.0.1453.94 m', again saying it's fully up to date, and then my iPhone is also displaying the times in BST. It's a 3GS running iOS 6.0.1 (i know there's another update available but i have no plans to go through with it at this time). I can't see what version of Safari it's running in my options or anything.

Single-digit dates (like today) look a bit weird - "Saturday 01st Jun, 2013." Is that intentional? Seems odd to have full-length day and zero-padded date, but short month.

@Raylax I'm still tweaking the formatting - at least its converting to your local time though.

@Happy_Mask you don't have JavaScript disabled on your iPad right? Do you know if its an iPad 2/3/4? or what version of iOS you're using?

it's now displaying 'Saturday 01st Jun, 2013 - 17:24' for Happy_Mask's latest comment in Chrome, Firefox, and on my iPhone as well.

it's weird with Chrome, though, because I'll see it pop up in BST for a brief second and then the dates all change over to the newer (converted to local time) version. Firefox and Safari on my iPhone don't have that brief flash from BST to converted format :3
