Topic: My Wii U wouldn't turn on

My Wii U had an orange/yellow light on for ages so I decided to turn it on to find out why the light hadn't gone back to red. I pressed the power button on my gamepad & that came on saying it couldn't connect to the Wii U but I noticed the Wii U wasn't doing anything. Tried pressing the power button on the console nothing, held the power button in for a while still nothing tried ejecting the disk & still nothing. Pulled the plug & all the lights on the Wii U went off then I plugged it back in & turned it on & it worked finally. Was getting really worried. Any idea what could of caused this & has this happened to anyone else?

I don't know... maybe the Wii U cords were going crazy for a while.

I always thought Orange meant the Wii U was downloading an update. Mine goes orange often but I never have a problem turning it on.

When the light goes orange I think it's connecting to Nintendo's servers. Hasn't done it again since but was quite worried about it. I checked for updates etc & nothing so dunno why it crashed.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again.

Is the light yellow or orange? I've never had orange, it's always going yellow.

I think it more of a yellow colour really but I find it hard to tell if it's yellow or orange.

Yeah if it happens again I will get worried. So far so good.
