Hello,

I just bought my first ever Nintendo console 2DS, however I got it 2nd hand and although technically everything works perfectly fine, there's one thing I don't understand. The console always display Nintendo 3DS logo when launching apps and games instead of 2DS and also in Data Management settings it shows as 3DS, but in About This System it talks about 2DS. I was just wondering whether this is normal, or the unit I got my be running some tweaked software (the version says Ver. 11 .2.0-35E which should be the newest).

Software-wise, there are no "2DS" games. There are only 3DS games. The 2DS itself just doesn't play in 3D.

Current games: Everything on Switch

The 2DS is a 3DS. Just a bit cheaper, different design and without the 3D.
