Okay, here's the situation, we had 2 computer "mice" and my mom broke one (Don't ask) so we had to use the other one and for some reason, every other day or so the computer will freeze like every 2 minutes, ever since we started using this mouse, sometimes when I blow into where the little ball is, it unfreezes. So does anyone know what the problem could be? Cause it's driving us all crazy!

Suggestion. Get a new computer or a new mouse...

What computer are you using? usually these kinds of problems stem from the computer itself, not the mouse (even if it is trackball).

Is it the computer that is freezing or just the mouse pointer thing on the screen?

@V8 Ninja
I don't really know what kind it is but at the bottom of the processor it says "hp pavilion 533w".
But I'm pretty sure it's the mouse because it didn't ever freeze when we used to use the other one.

Feed it cheese?

But seriously, get an optical USB mouse (your PC should have multiple USB ports unless you run a computer made by the Aztecs). Logitech makes good mice and some are cheap. I've been using the same MX518 for 3 years almost and it still works perfectly on both my PCs, even with better models available today. I haven't even seen a ball mouse since 1999, lol. I thought they went the way of the Dodo.

Probs a problem with your computer. Unless the mouse has like a virus (which is near impossible) its your comp. Just give your good old HP a good kick and it will work wonders! :D

By the way, i'm open to fix anybodys computer.

@kevohki - Aztec computers have come standard with USB 2.0 since 2000 :)

GE sells a pretty decent 5-button optical mouse for $6.

The mouse could be defective. Is is a PS2 or USB one? They don't cost anything so just get a new one!
