Since you can post YouTube videos, isn't there a way to post different video players, you know, the one with the notebook thingy? I forgot what that site (or the DSiWare game) was called again, sorry.

@ng1000: it's Flipnote Hatena you're thinking of, with Flipnote Studio being the DSiWare app that allows you to create animations. to post one to the NL forums, it's just like posting a youtube video, only with 'flipnote' instead and two areas of text to copy over (separated by a colon).

the average Flipnote URL looks like this:

note the green and blue highlighted strings of lettters/numbers, which copy over into the code like so:

the first run of random numbers/letters goes before the second colon, and the other goes after it.

as always, if you see someone posting something on the forums and you don't know how they got that to work, just click the 'quote' link above their post and you'll be able to see the raw code in the quoted text that pops up in the Comment box for you. :3

As a web designer, the coding behind the angel and devil faces is really annoying me... I assume this is a problem that can be fixed behind the scenes. The code behind these two smileys is a mess.

@Prosody: every time someone uses the angel or devil smilies, though, they always get that weird bit of " /> posted after the smiley-image itself. i'm assuming what Cipher has suggested would get rid of those " /> scraps?

Wooperman1 and I discovered that putting two `s on each side of some text is a shortcut for the code tag.
