It's something to do with keys, I think. PSK or something. I wish I could be of more help. :/ I'd try it out on my own router but I don't want to make a mistake experimenting and have to reconfigure everything back for my DSi. Hopefully another one of our techies can give you some help on this!
Try changing your router's channel. For me, it was under my router's Channel/SSID setting. Nintendo devices are partial to channels 1 and 11. Many people had this problem in 2006 (including myself), but I was under the impression that a system update had fixed this. Hope this helps!
PS. Which router are you using? Some are more finicky than others.
Ok, today it gave me a different code and so I looked it up and one thing it said is that my router may need a firmware update. How do I do that? I found a site and it had down stuff, do I just download it and that's all? I don't know anything about this stuff.

Usually you just go to your router companies site and look for your routers model. If there is indeed an update there it will be there for you to download.
