recently bought a gamecube off ebay everything works fine except i get annoying horizontal bars going up my screen i was told to get an official power supply or av cords should i get just an official power supply or both to resolve my problem
The power supply should not be an issue with a video problem. If you are using unofficial AV cables, then you may want official ones. That is the only problem I can think of.
actually, the power supply can cause video problems, like the ripple effect described by the OP. It costs money to build a reliable and stable PSU and cheap 3rd party supplies often cut corners to save on production cost.
