Topic: Gameboy pocket charging

now, i don't have the rechargeable battery for my gameboy pocket, an i have fresh AAA's in it. but it only works when it's plugged into the Ac adapter. what do i do?

The ac adapter isn't meant to charge the gameboy pocket, it's just a way to keep the system powered when you're at home and don't want to waste batteries. The moment you unplug it, the system shouldn't have any power left from it.

If it doesn't work with fresh batteries but does through the ac adapter, then it's most likely an issue with the battery contacts, such as being corroded from leaving batteries in for too long. I'd recommend looking up an article online on how to clean battery contacts, but you basically use sandpaper or a q tip dipped in vinegar to clean them.

Also, in my experience, the gameboy pocket in particular can be a bit finicky about how the batteries are inserted, so I sometimes have to spin them a little bit before it works properly.
