Topic: Final Fantasy Dawn of Sorrows Info Request

Putting out a request to everyone who owns a legit PAL copy of Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Sorrows for the GBA. I recently acquired a copy but I have a suspicion it may be a fake. After a bit of research I found that this is one of the carts notorious for copies. Overall it seemed kind of ok (fonts seemed correct, cart condition good, contact pins in correct location, white letters visible on circuit board just above contact pins, etc).

The only thing that may identify it is the 2 digit number that is imprinted (actually marked into, not ink printed) into the cart on the front label. Mine has "00" on the right just below the title and above the 10 digit game code. Can anyone else please confirm if this is the same on their's if they know that they own an official copy please?

p.s. A quick response would be most appreciated as I go back to the second day of the con today and hope to return it if it turns out to be fake.

I can also load a picture if required.

In the end, the lack of any clear answers from any other vendor at the show made me exchange it for another game I was sure was legit.

Plus I'd rather have a boxed copy.
