Topic: Delay Between Avatar Upload & Apperence?

I've noticed that there is a huge delay on when avatars come up after being uploaded on this site now, Can somebody explain why this is happening please?

It's always been like that.

Here is an example of My problem now

Before the site was down, All My avatars came up the moment I saved.

I have a strange problem with this as well. I changed mine and it is showing up as changed if I look at the site from my phone though if I look at the site from my work or home PC it is showing my old avatar. O.o

So I am wondering what avatar everyone else is seeing. Also, yes this started right after the shut-down/changes.

Well on JustinColde's I see a dude similiar to the pic you posted but with a "F.U." on his shirt.

I am still showing my old one. Tried signing in and out and its the same. It seems everyone else is seeing the changes though. So I guess it's just the changee stuck with the sight of their old avi.

That's the exact one I uploaded 2 days ago and I still can't see it.

Try clearing your cache and see if that does anything.

EDIT: It probably won't considering I see the FU one as well but it's worth a try.

Whenever I tried changing my avatar on NL it's always updated instantly.

I see the "F.U." T-shirt too, JusticeColde. Maybe you should try uploading your new avatar again?

After uploading your new avatar try pressing shift+F5 to do a full reload of the page. It should re-download all images on the page from scratch with the latest on the server. If that still doesn't work try clearing your browser's cache and reloading the page. If it still shows the old avatar then it's a problem on NL's server side.

Ctrl+F5. Or Shift+F5, depends on your browser.

I just refreshed for like half an hour and now I see it.

Clearing the cache did not work.
