Topic: Changing network ID

Okay, so I purchased my 3Ds second hand, and didn't really pick up on the existence of a network ID until I'd had it for at least six months, I'd like to change it but most forums say that by either deleting the account or formatting the 3Ds I'll lose my offline game data which I'd rather not do, is there any way around this or should I contact Nintendo directly about it.

I would contact Nintendo about it. They are the only ones who would know for sure.
