Topic: Australian gamecube + Canadian game?

I have got an Australian gamecube but recently I bought a canadian game for it but it does not work.

Assuming the gamecube you bought in Australia is a PAL gamecube and the game is American/Canadian NTSC, region locking would be the issue. The game would have to be the same as the console to work on it, like PAL games on a PAL system and NTSC games on NTSC systems.
