I'm thinking about getting one, to connect my Wii to the Internet, but I need to know if you need a computer to do it.
Thanks, in advance!

ultimately you would just need a router with an available port, but you would want a computer also hooked up to the router just in case you need to configure the thing, y'know?

Dark Link, I don't think it's worth it. Like theblackdragon said, you would need a router, but if you already have one, or need one, then what's the point of getting the adapter?

@Cheezy
I don't have a router, all I have is this little black modem from a phone service called Embarq and I think it might work with the LAN adapter. All I needed to know was if I needed a computer to use it.

that's kinda crappy of you to do it without permission, though. :/

how about 'not steal internet access from your neighbors'? it's not like having your Wii disconnected from the internet makes it unplayable or anything. :/

I have a LAN adaptor. All you need is an ethernet cable hooked up to a modem (whether DSL or broadband) just like you would a computer. I thought it was worth it considering the Wii's wireless is not the greatest
