Couldn't you just let us have animated ones and those who misuse them have their avatars changed to some Yaoi instead?

I remember when we first introduced our animated avatars on DSihub. There was only 1 animated avatar, and just about everyone on the site decided to use it.

Yes but then people would complain because other people had the same avatar as they did. And then we'd have to create 13,478 different animated avatars, one for each registered user. That could take some time. James, are you busy for the next 8 or 9 months?

I think they should scrap the avatars altogether. A username is enough. Oh and my shield. I can't part with that.

Better yet, why don't we just assign numbers to readers. That would make things easier.

.gif avatars are overrated. .png is where it's at.

Taking away avatars would be terrible! I usually remember people by them and I'd get everyone mixed up if we didn't have them.

A .png is a "Portable Network Graphic" image. Just another graphic format, but one considered superior in most respects.

And Terra, anyone that changes their username from one of the greatest video games ever made, to just plain Terra, has no chance of ever becoming a mod on this site as long as I'm in power.

@Corbie: No way, change the usernames to binary, then I won't have to use a translator whenever I want to see who's posting. And they're way smaller than avatars too. For example, pixelman = 0111000001101001011110000110010101101100011011010110000101101110
