Some hours ago I got this email:

Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you that the cooperation between Nortec Multimedia SA and Nintendo of Europe will come to an end on 31/12/2015. Our company will provide after sales support till 28/12/2015, which will be
the last day we will be operating. Last date of receiving products for service purposes is Friday 18/12/2015. For future updates and after sales service information for Greece, please check www.nintendo-europe.com from 01/01/2016.
Thank you for your support and trust all these years and we would like to
wish all the best to Nintendo for the future!
Nortec Multimedia S.A.

So it is the end of Nintendo in Greece due to the shrinking market (PS4 seems to be the only think that sells and the general economical situation is very bad) or we will have another company take the rights from new year? The latter seems the most probable though. I know that these news may not be that serious but maybe some games from Greece missed the email and may want service for their Nintendo products before Christmas. I personally am in a strange situation. I chose UK as my country in my Nintendo ID since I was afraid this would happen. I hope we will have a solution next year. I don't want to have problems with my digital games in case a hardware breaks.

I did some more digging in case someone is interested. The existence of Nintendo has stopped in Greece. There is no new company representing Nintendo. The high standards in terms of number of products in retailers NOE asks in addition to the not so good economical situation led to the closure of local representative Nortec.

So whats next for Nintendo products in Greece? There are two or three major electronic retailers that still had Nintendo products before the start of the year. They will continue to have games, especially high profile ones (for example I got FF Explorers from one of them some days ago). They will keep importing themselves. The same will happen with the big game specialized stores. So they won't really be a shortage of games. The problem will be with the service and with the console tied eshop games. However the warrant should still cover us since is still in EU (at least for now )

@belmont: Sorry to hear that. I hope it won't have too much of an impact. I understand why the step was made, but it still sucks. I'm glad that major retailers will just start importing though! Best of luck from the Netherlands!
