Topic: 3ds slow down

Have any of you experience with the 3dsxl slowing down? not starting up a game, booting up, download slow. Those are really minor problem.

I'm facing a problem at which randomly the screen will start to get blurring/flashy/can see stripes flowing/lack of pixel, add on with the console making screeching noise if volume is on, whatever I'm doing (regardless at home screen or playing game) - the entire console will be in slow-mo, even at the power off screen. Usually I'll just shut it down, leave it be for some time, boot it up, and it will be just fine until the red light pops up. Then I'll just rinse and repeat. Occasionally, it will just enter that state randomly - I suspect the console overheated or it had something to do with my circle pad pro.

My warranty is over, bought it around last year April. Have roughly 1670+ total play time. Is it time to purchase a new console?

Have no luck in finding similar cases on the Internet. Some feedback would really be appreciated.
