Just wondering if I can use the SD card to do the transfer with out it making it unusable. I was under the impression it formatted the SD card to do that so I wasn't sure if it would erase all my data and make it basically unusable, because if that's the case I'd just wait to get another SD card. If I 'm missing something or sounding like an idiot I'll apologize in advance. Just don't wanna have to get another SD card unless I really need to get one.

They just said you need an SD card with 512 MB free. I think they would have specified a blank SD card if it were going to format it or do anything to your other data.
