Topic: 3ds require update

hello
I live in Iceland europe .I have a 3DS XL that i bought in USA. I got a usa game ,marioparty island tour. When i was going to play it got a requierment that i have to update the system before i could play the game.
Is this any problem, i mean updating a usa macine in europe region ?
Could this end in some locked black screen, as i got with my erlier 3ds machine ?
As you can see, i know less than nothing about this subject, so please be gentle

I forgot to mention that i have only used genuin nintendo games in this machine.

But why don't you have a European 3DS?

Also why do you have a American 3ds?

If you could get games after few weeks at half the price that you pay for it now in your home town, where would you buy it?

I can read it. I just know too many people who have worse spelling than that despite being fluent in english. If it's due to a language barrier, I completely understand and won't bother you about it. Sorry I brought it up.

To actually answer your question: no, don't worry. If your 3DS updates, it always grabs the one of the correct region, no matter where you are. You can safely update your 3DS without any consequences.
