When I go onto the eShop, it loads for a little while, and then says "Press home menu and turn the system off and on before trying again." Can someone help me get rid of this problem? My internet is fine, but I can't get onto the eShop!

It may sound silly but you could have your wireless switched OFF on your 3DS, that's a similar message to the one I get when it's off. But like pixelman says, got an error code?

I don't think it's a faulty connection fluke. When I first got it the eShop was working fine, and I'm still in the same house with the same modem. My console has been off all last night but it still won't work!
