I couldn't care less if you think I'm stupid or not. I present images and arguments to explain what I mean - that's called a discussion. What do you do? Trying to make fun of something you're not even interested in?

Samus is Samus, either way. It doesn't matter. If it really bothers you this much, then go and tell Nintendo, not a mass of middle class office workers on a news site.

I don't think Nintnedo really put that much thought into how Samus looked at the end of Super Metroid which is why they might make her look a little different later on. It's also worth noting that Link's hair color has been changed to blonde as opposed to the brown it was in the original game. Nobody complains about that.

Samus's hair color changed too, but just like in Link's case, it was because of hardware restrictions of the time.

It's interesting some people here don't care how Samus looks, but they care how Link looks. Why is that?

You figured it out, Colombo.

I'm gay.

You suggested a beer gut, something you usually start to obtain once you're in your 40's. That is also why I though there might be an age change. Hair color change is fine, so is facial feature and muscular feature. They should use pink again. Hahaha!

SL68, have you ever seen a real woman's butt before? And I don't mean an airbrushed-to-perfection version like in your average magazine, but an actual female butt in real life? Or how about just a woman from the rear in general? We have hips, we have curves. The first version you've supplied, she has no hips and her thighs are missing, and in the second version, she's built that muscle mass back and grew some pelvic bones. That's the only difference.

If you were basing your arguments on the sexualization of Samus and whether or not it should have happened at all, that'd be one thing, but for all your arguing the only thing I'm seeing is someone ticked off that a female game character's form was updated to look more like she'd actually be able to walk around on a planet with Earth-like gravity. Cry me a river.

Just as a fat rump, a beer gut has nothing to to with age (granted you have passed puberty) - it's all up to what you do with your body. What you eat and how you exercise. But anyway:

There are lots of Resident Evil fans complaining that Chris Redfield has gone from a relatively slim guy to a pumped up American macho man. People DO care about this stuff. Maybe you're just afraid of talking about a woman's body...?

They got away with Toon Link, some people didn't like it but they got away with it. They have changed normal Link too. He does look different in Skywad Sword than he does Twilight Princess, quite different really.

P.S. People would explode if they have gave Samus a beer gut, I recommend using an example that wouldn't get people up in arms about Samus too.

This post would have benefited from visual aids. Much more persuasive.

Yes I have (bare and nude), and it didn't look like twin airbags. It didn't look fat. Samus's rump looks fat. I'm going to find another pic to show what I mean...

That's a good point. But as you said, some people didn't like Toon Link and some STILL don't like him. When Miyamoto showed off Wind Waker, the crowd was silent instead of giving him a warm applause. Characters' looks matters. A LOT.

And even to this day, Nintendo have a hard time deciding what kind of art style to use Zelda games, right? And they also have a hard time settling on Link's looks. They know the fans are split when it comes to this.

For the freaking last time, they can't control how big it is! Seriously, you're starting to get on my nerves. Look things up before you start saying them.

I, too, frequently compare every part of a woman's body based on the one nude one I once saw in real life. If they don't match with what I saw in person with my own two eyes, they are obviously disfigured.

Bubble rumps=big, round rumps.

What do you think that big, round volume is mostly made up of?

Your ignorance is showing.
You said that you wanted a discussion, but with how you continue to counter everyone who has an opposite view than you have, you have shown that what you truly want is a debate.

Depends on whose butt we're talking about. i've seen some round, plump tushies firm enough to bounce a quarter off'a — not a drop of fat in 'em. Samus may be the victim of bad lighting in that suit, but do I think her butt looks flabby and fat? No. Just normal.
