Her toneless thighs rub together. Her huge donkey looks downright fat and even sags a bit. Her arms look like fragile chopsticks and the overall impression of her body is a skinny-fat blonde Barbie doll with too much junk in her trunk. Is that really Nintendo's idea of a baddonkey bounty hunter?
Now, I understand this body type is very popular in the US. But dang, this is Samus! Shouldn't she be more in shape than this?
And why does the backside design of the zero suit look like a thong? Come on, it's plain as day.
Why does she look so weak and untoned here, when she was all buff and baddonkey in Super Metroid?
She spends days and weeks traveling in space. Astronauts can lose as much as 20% of their total muscle mass after just a few weeks in space and even on board exercise usually isn't enough to fully stop the degradation. Let's see you keep in shape under those circumstances, buddy.

But Samus is not an astronaut. >_> She's a bounty hunter! Plus, how do you explain her fat bottom?
well there are a lot of real life bounty hunters who are severely overweight. Even cops for that matter, so Samus doesn't have to look like some super fit soldier. I think she is great just the way she is, besides her suit does most of the work for movement anyway and who's to say that samus doesn't pig out during the time in between her bounty jobs?

Well, yeah. The point I was making is that like an astronaut she spends long periods of time traveling through space.

I don't know, but I always got the impression she doesn't sit still in her space ship all the time (like an astronaut), but rather travel around the galaxy, visiting different places.
Not that Samus is what I would call fat but whenever a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist And a round thing in my face I get sprung.
No, I don't call her fat either. But I do call her bottom fat, because I think it is fat in Zero Mission. I call her a skinny-fat blonde Barbie doll with too much junk in her trunk - that is - a flab bottom. And looking at that pic, can you argue with that?
guys: due to the new profanity filter on the site, every time certain words for bottom, etc are used we get notified. please write your posts remembering this.
btw: do you guys put this much thought into male characters attributes??

But they already had a great, buff look for her in Super Metroid. Why did they change it so drastically? Do you really think she looks like a bad donkey bounty hunter in her zero suit?

I think it's pretty bad a**. A female can't control the size of her... backside. That is up to genetics, and genetics alone. Of course from your lack of understanding of space and genetics, you're probably not very scientific in your way of thinking.

Come on, she didn't look like that in Super Metroid (so much for genetics). Sure we didn't see her rump there, but I can't imagine it was neither as big or as fat as it is in Zero Mission, since her overall body was trained and toned.
Super Metroid was released in 1994. You're telling me she drifted around in space for ten years, gobbled lots of snacks which all went straight to her rump, and then appeared in Zero Mission? LOL, I don't quite buy that logic!
Do people think Zero Suit Samus look better than Super Metroid Samus? Am I the only one here who thinks that a fat rump and toneless thighs doesn't belong on a bad*** bounty hunter?
please start using asterisks for 'bad***. i am getting tired of correcting these! k8smum

Being a bounty hunter, having the ability to use seduction would come in handy. She would need to be more flexible and acrobatic than she would be built for fighting. She carries a gun, what she needs is agility, not the muscle of a brute.

I get the feeling that Nintnendo has made Samus a character that doesn't do that kinda of thing. I really can't see her doing that either from what we've seen of her character, it just isn't her style.

..... seduction? Against space pirates? >_>
Zero Suit Samus: Look at my fat rump! See this excess flab? Wanna touch it?
Space Pirate Captain: Fire at will.
No, I don't think she can use her rump in that way.
More flexible and acrobatic makes sense though, but tell me how she looks more acrobatic in her zero suit than she does in Super Metroid. You know, less muscles doesn't make you more flexible, unless you have the body of a body builder - which she doesn't in Super Metroid. It's just toned and trained. And again, a big, fat rump doesn't make you either flexible or agile - it only slows you down.
I can understand people think she looks good in Zero Mission, and that some people like a woman to have "fat in the right places". But my point is that she's not princess Peach, she's a bounty hunter - and should look thereafter.
The thing is, with a body like that, she'll be underestimated for her abilities.
If you were a bounty hunter, would you bet on that, or on a trained and toned body?
Either way, it doesn't matter which version you want. If you want the trained and toned version, play Super Metroid, if you want... the other one play any game later than that. Problem solved. It really was fun seeing how far you would take this. I really didn't care either way.
