Topic: Zelda Clones?

Does anybody know of some good Zelda clones? I;m pretty sick of the actual Legend of Zelda, since it's goten so predictable and formulaic, they all feel like the same games, and I'm sick of it. I can't even go back to the games I used to like without getting bored now. I'm sick of the same weapons, the same 3 dungeons then 5-8 more, I'm sick of the general style, and I'm sick of Link and Zelda. I've already got Okami, StarTropics, and Beyond Oasis, which have convinced me that the basic formula can still be fun without having to recycle the same gameplay elements the way Zelda does. I'm mostly done with those ones, though. Does anybody know of any more?

I don't get why you'd wanna play Zelda clones if you're sick of Zelda. Here's a placeholder while I go look for some.

Got a 360 or PS3? If so, try 3D Dot Game Heroes, or Darksiders.

Try reading the rest of my post, mate. Then all your questions would be answered. Anyways, thanks for the recommendos, man. Might grab the Neutopia games next time I get a chance. Legend of the Mystic Ninja is a bit too trying of a game for me, unfortunately. Also...no offense...but Harvest Moon is a Sim game. Nothing like Zelda, not in the slightest.

As I said in my first post that everyone read up until the first line and stopped, it's because they're essential copy and pastes of eachother. They're too similar, where as clones actually make an effort to do something different with the formula.

lol, sorry, I assume everyone does that to me too. At least I provided some good choices? =D

This and Star Fox Adventures for sure, and I think this one game called Nier was supposed to have Zelda elements.

Alundra is just what you're looking for. Sony really needs to put it on the US PSN ASAP!

Eh, it's fine since everybody does do it. And yeah, you did pick some good ones. I should also look into that Darksiders Infernape Recommended. While it may be a bit too much like Zelda, since it copies the formula down to the letter, the gameplay quirks and deeper combat might be able to keep it fresh. I'd get 3D Dot Heroes if I had a PS3, but sadly, I don't and I don't intend on getting one any time soon.

You can say that again, especially since it's pretty expensive online.

I can deffinatly recommend Alundra. I never played the second one but I always heard the first was the better of the two. That game was one of my favorite on the PS. Wish I still had my copy.

Landstalkers is supposedly a good one. I've never played it myself, but I've heard some good things about it.

I'm actually pretty surprised you haven't tried Neutopia I & II.
Anyway, they are a blatant ripoff of the Zelda games. The gameplay is similar to The Legend of Zelda, while the graphics are quite similar to A Link to the Past.
Neutopia II has a lot more to offer - particularly in terms of special items and diagonal movement - but is pretty tough to finish. The last boss is pretty difficult and you will waste ~1 hour every time you attempt him, since you have to work your way through the final dungeon/palace/castle each time.

I would recommend both games. I would recommend N2 if you want to get the most enjoyment out of the game, but if not-beating-a-game will bother you, then go with the first one.
Or both.

Edit: ALSO, The Guardian Legend. Always The Guardian Legend.

Eh, I'll probably get both. Once Ufouria comes out, I'll add 1000 points, giving me just enough to get all 3 games.

Thanks, but I already have it on a collection and played it out a while ago. It was good fun, though.
