Well not exactly modern but I really despise Prince (or whatever the f*** he call's himself now) . His music to me is utter,and I do mean UTTER, sh***e, the most over rated egotistical pr**k I've ever had the misfortune to set eyes on. Just thought I'd share that with you people. I just do not like Rap/Hip Hop. I did when I was a kid and it was Gangsta Rap years and years ago. But as I have gotten older I cannot stand the message it delivers talking about beating women and other forms of nefarious acts. Thats my opinion. And I agree with Luigi78 Prince sucks.

I'm hoping Mika doesn't have any plans on crawling out the woodwork anytime soon.

Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, and Marilyn Manson never cease to disappoint. But my currently most despised? Dave Matthews. Actually, I take that back... he's been in the number one slot for quite a few years now.

I'd say any of those damn pop singers that are popular now (and were in the earlier 2000's as well.) Brittney Spears, Lady Gaga, etc. The only pne that's alright is Pink, because some of her songs have a rock vibe to them. So with that being said, rock (ESPECIALLY classic) is win!

Yes this is true!! I appreciate that he is a very talented musician and can play many many instruments to a very high standard it's just a pity that he can't combine said instruments into anything resembling a decent tune.There..I've said my bit, now I just need @DJPhatskillz to admit that Prince is a tw*t (even if just a little one ) and everything will be right with the universe once more.

gently caress no, prince's talent on stage and in the studio are unrivaled. he is one of the most important funk musicians of all time next to james brown, george clinton, roger troutman etc etc. its ok if you think hes a bluebird, i am American and believe in the first amendment and all. but no one, ever, anywhere will get me to admit that Prince is a bluebird. ever.

Prince is awesome musically. I don't know about the whole bluebird thing, but he might be a bit insane judging from what people working with him have said.
