It's becoming a growing trend in the US that colleges are starting to consider video games as sports. So far the main game this seems to be affecting is League of Legends but more will follow. Robert Morris University in the US is the first to offer a scholarship to college for playing League of Legends. Are you glad to see this kind of thing being possible now?
I got mixed feelings but overall it's cool this is an option for some students now. It'll be interesting to see how far this branches out with games.

This is the second stupidest idea i've heard all day, right after the "news" story i saw about how sunshine is addictive like a drug.
It gives you vitamin D, I think.
Also, I think it's fine. If they make the gameplay in these games accurate enough, people can fight on screen, without actually getting hurt. Just look at the new UFC game. I don't want to fight in real life, but I'm fine with it in a video game. The only thing that sucks, is that people who may have been told it wasn't, are now being told that it is.

Oh great now they'll invent some kind of steroid/enhancement drug for this and their shall be cheaters. But on the bright side now maybe Gatorade will sponsor games.
Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?
1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.
By definition, no, video games should not be accepted as a physical activity.
While I don't think games really count as sports by the classic definition (then again, race car driving is a sport), I don't really see an issue with competitive gaming becoming something more mainstream. There are pros and cons regarding both sports and "esports", but both can definitely require skill. I see no problem with giving more people the chance to attain an college education.
