Which console controllers (no pc mouse and keyboard) are your favorites and least favorites? If you want to, you may consider the terms of: a)design/looks b)using/playing c)Innovation
Also add your least favorite at the end.
For me it goes: a) ps3 (feels so nice, and its all black) and n64 (looks like a gunship) b) ps3 (comfortable and cool) c) wiimote (IR and motion) and atari joystick (first console gaming joystick i think)
My least favorite is the xbox 1 controller, ugly and unnecessarily big in my opinion
Favorite: Dreamcast (it's just so awesome ) Least favorite: Tough one, but I had to go with Atari 5200. My dad dug it out of his closet when I was about 6, and I tried playing, to find out that THE CONTROLLERS DON'T EVEN CONTROL.
a)NES: not that comfortable now but looks nice & simple. b)GameCube: one of the few occasions where it could be argued that Nintendo borrowed from Sony. c)N64: innovative controller that perfectly fitted innovative games like Super Mario 64.
a) Dreamcast (the design was awesome) b) Dreamcast (felt very comfortable to play) c) Dreamcast and Wiimote (DC controllers have the VMUs and everything, which makes them very innovative. Wiimote, well you know why it's innovative )
Funny, I never had a problem with the PS1 and PS2 controllers. Then again, it was the console I grew up with living in Italy. But that doesn't mean I don't also have a fondness for the Super NES, which I've been playing at my cousins' house each summer. Oh, well, to each his own.
Least favorite: Probably the Dreamcast Favorite: The old "Duke" style Xbox pad. I know I'm in the minority for this pad since if you don't have large hands it's hella awkward.
I have always hated sony's controllers, never felt right. The original Xbox controller was too bulky, but the new ones are much better. I also liked the Gamecube controller. SNES was much better than the NES controller.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
ya me neither, i really like the feel of the dual analogs being so close together, it feels very comfortable to me, maybe its a big hands thing. Its good for me since i can grip so many if not all buttons and sticks at once (o.O wow that sounded hella weird) and still feel comfortable. i really like it. For me though, the wavebird without rumble i didnt like as much, mostly because of the big block preventing me from wrapping my hands around the controller handles like i like to do. but as a great starboy once said: "to each his own!"

a) SNES (particularly the PAL version) b) I am going to guess the Classic Controller Pro (like a SNES just more modern) c) Wii Remote + Motion Plus... easily
worst: the original XBox
I was going to point out the Gamecube controller as an example of "good design" but personally I really hate where they put the Z button. My index finger defaults to over the R and L triggers so it just seems odd to have to move my right index finger over a small, fiddly and clicky button. Same with the original Classic Controller, why the hell are ZL and ZR all the way over there?
@Skywake man ur right that classic pro looks SEXY in that color and that design. Wow, that looks like it could have been the wii's normal standard controller if nintendo didnt go motion control and was using button mapping like the 360 and ps3 did, very nice design indeed, im saving that pic its so good.
