Though I'm not a 13 year old girl, if you've actually read the books you'll know that there is far worse out there than Twilight. I'm not saying I love them, but you really can't hate them, there' just nothing there to hate when it's all said and done except I really don't think she should have become a vampire, I think that's teaching all the wrong morals to the teen girls that are eating this series up like bon-bons. You have to look at who the book is trying to please and then decide if it's good or bad. You can't imagine that everything in life is aimed to please you.

When I was in the eighth grade, I read practically nothing but Gary Paulsen books (emphasis on "practically"). I don't know why, but there's something about his books that captivated me. Hoot is from Carl Hiassen is decent too, imo.

It's not the book itself that I hate, it's what it's caused. Now, I'm surrounded by twilight everywhere I go. If you noticed, the teen sections at most bookstores are dominated by vampire-related books. Now, the commercials are twilight. Yes, there are worse books out there, but almost none of them have caused as much fangirlism as Twilight.
I hate it just as much as you. Trust me. It makes me sick XD And WHY did you censor my post? I know this is a Nintendo website, but we can't give Nintendo the satisfaction of successfully turning us all into baby game loving children. There's a hardcore audience here somewhere, and I say we should be able to say post if we want to say post. I know there are children, I'm not going to post any links to what a post looks like, but I just thought a mature conversation about books would be one forum where I wouldn't be censored if I wanted to add some spice to my opinion.
EDIT: No. We tolerate colorful language when it's used passingly, not when it purposefully denigrates entire segments of our membership.

Okay, nevermind. I was just in the thread where people are posting their ages, and I had no idea everybody was 11-15. I'm sorry for my vulgarity everybody, I'm new and here and didn't know my boundaries. It won't happen again. Stay in school.

You're 18 are you? Well that's just swell. I'm sorry I offended an 18 year old with pervasive language lol That's never happened to me before.

I wasn't offended, Spaceboy. I don't know if others were offended, but maybe they were; it's just that I don't like swears (especially on a family site). I remember a long time ago when I read many Ramona books in the sixth and/or seventh grades.

i like "the mysterious benedict society" and the diary of a wimpy kid series and i havn't read twilight or watched the movie for two reasons 1.)I'm a boy, lovey movies/ books like that are dumb (and i mean a vampire? come on! couldn't they think of something better then that?) 2.) It looks very stupid Raises hand and holds it up for 5 years
if you click on someones username (or avatar, i believe) it will take you to their profile, which will tell you where they live. always useful to me when i want to correct someone's grammar and then realize they're not a native speaker and think better of it.
