This is basically a thread in which you post the most amazing things that have ever happened to you in an RPG game. Close battles, rare finds, and accomplishments alike.
One of mine happened recently while I was replaying Final Fantasy III on DS. Okay, so I go into this place called the Tower of Owen. I DISTINCTLY remember being warned before (outside the game) to NEVER go in there until all of your guys are like level 15. So I thought, "What the heck? I try to blow through it at level 11!" Big mistake. Right off the bat, one of my guys dies... Nevertheless! I try again and soon get rather far! On like the sixth or seventh floor, both of my mages get silenced (can't cast spells). I use Echo Herbs to cure them of that, but I soon realize that after that I have none left. Not only that, but I'm out of Phoenix Downs as well. In short, I was utterly screwed. Regardless, I continued my quest, hoping in my heart that no one gets silenced again. Lo and behold! An enemy pops up and casts silence on my entire group! It misses everyone except my mages...great... Now It's boss time! This guy was tough. I was downing potions left and right (my white mage was silenced). Later in the battle however, my white mage was petrified. After my black mage used an item to cure her of that, he died... HOWEVER! I soon realized that my white mage was unsilenced! Her petrification had ironically saved her! So I continued to bash away at the boss while healing like crazy with my white mage. Soon after I won! I marveled in awe as I listened to the victory theme. All in all, it was a job well done, and I felt very satisfied/lucky afterwards.
...I'm sure you probably didn't read all that...
Now it's your turn! What sorts of tales do you have to share concerning your RPG games?
Well, in Fable II I married as many women as possible, neglected them and the kids and slept around until I got an STD. The women rebuking my character didn't live long.

Now, for the G-rated comment of the thread (as this is a G-rated thread, and not an adult-thread):
I found many sidequests in Chrono Trigger, and got the majority of the endings. I also happened to defeat Lavos more often than not. It was all a very rewarding experience. The first time I defeated Lavos was with Crono, Ayla and Lucca.
holy crap fable and mass effect are some of the most epic rpgs ever! id get a 360 if it was exclusive to that console but i guess its just as good on the PC. AWESOME GAMES!

I've put a lot of time into TWEWY. I beat the final boss on Ultimate. I beat the real final boss on Ultimate. I've seen all of the noise. I've got 95% of the clothes/CDs/any other items. I've got 70% pin Mastery. I love TWEWY. A lot.
Best thread ever

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!

Wait, for real? And all this time I thought it was just a Hollywood movie-wannabe like all the other HD games.

I beat FF4 without fighting any random battles or leveling outside of required boss battles. I beat FF7 in the absolute most difficult way possible--I'd link the FAQ I used to gear up for the challenge (and how I learned it was possible in the first place) but no one need waste their time--there were a lot of hours there I won't get back.

I beat the giant gloop in the sewers in Paper Mario with 1 hp left. I was definitely not at the right level to take him on. I did the best I could, but I was still far from beating him. I needed to take him down 21 HP to kill him. I had no star power or healing items left. My only chance was to use power bounce and get the action command right 21 times in a row, and I pulled it off

Did you bring them on a 1-way trip to the Shadow Temple like I did?
On Paper mario ttyd, I was fighting bonetail. I got the poison mushrooms on the roulette, so I lost half my life, flower points, and my entire audience. I got lucky and got a mushroom on the roulette, so I got my audience back. I had used my items on the first 99 floors. Unfortunately, I got ANOTHER poison mushroom on the roulette, so my audience was lost, half of my hp was lost, and I only had about 1/4 of my FP left. Luckily enough, I still beat him, though every partner except Ms. Mowz died. I was very happy. Oh, and when I beat him, I had 1 hp, 0 FP, no star power, and Ms. Mowz had 3 hp.
@Bleachfan: Yeah, that's why this one has remained one of my favorite RPGs ever. @Ramandus Fable 2 has a ton of character and allows for some interesting freedom. You should check it out if you get a chance! @Magi I totally forgot about that! A conveniet way to get rid of them AND some nice bonuses!

So, funny story: I was doing this one mission in Final Fantasy XI where I had to go to a different region, and when I got there, I decided to just keep going, see how far I could go.
Somehow I made it through about 4 regions, sneaking past a bunch of monsters that could kill me in one hit, until I made it to like, the most powerful nation in the world. So there I am, hanging out with a bunch of lvl 75's with my lvl 12 White mage freaking out about how I'm supposed to get back, since I used up all my reraises. So after screwing around in Jueno, trying to find a safe way back, I decided to just run back the way I came. So I go all the way across the region in front of Jueno(the city I'm in), used up the last of my reraises, meaning it was all or nothing now, and all of a sudden the only person I've ever had contact with in the game calls to me.
I tell him where I am, and he says he'll come and pick me up, I just gotta go back to Jueno. Well, I figured the fastest way to Jueno would be to die, so I just kept going back towards my home town, just to see if I could make it all the way there without dying.
...and in the end, I did! I mean, I did get attacked a few times, but I managed to get away without a scratch! I still can't believe I made it! Although, I do feel like a dick for making that guy go out of his way to help me and waste his time, and in the end I just ditch him and run all the way back to Windurst, but if it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't have had the confidence to keep going. Plus, I did try to make it up to him by making a new character in Bastok(which is the lamest nation, IMO. All the NPC's are dicks, and it's more about working and adding to the economy than anything else. Might as well work an 9-to-5 job).
So, anyways, crisis avoided, thanks to my guardian digital angel.
