Mairo isn't in the movie. The director already alluded at comic con that a certain company wanted to much for their character to be in the movie.

Rats, that's a disappointment. I guess Nintendo was too tight in letting them only have Bowser appear. This probably hurts other Nintendo characters' chances, then.

If you ask me, it was a bad move for Nintendo to not allow Mario (and/or Luigi) in. I mean come on, think of the publicity! Ah well, at least Bowser is in so if nobody else, he is still there to represent Nintendo. Now what would really make my day is if Pit or Olimar made it, but they are both very "unknown" characters to the general public, so it wouldn't make sense.

Mario could have been but the asking price to have him in was too much money for a cameo.

Mario and Luigi are too busy anyways. It's be funny if Pikachu or Pokemon in general made an appearance.

A clip showing Sonic's appearance in the movie has been uploaded to YouTube. Sadly you can't hear what he's saying because everyone starting cheering ( people, save your applause until the end of the clip). Thankfully someone put up annotations showing what he said, it's a minor role. But once again, really cool to see Sonic on the big screen.

Quite a number of comments on that video said they saw Link (in Deku form) walking in the background when Ralph gave the cherry to Qbert. I think I saw him too, look to the right of Ralph at around 1:30 in the video. If this is true, then this movie just keeps getting more awesome by the minute! Hurray up November!

I would cheer if Wario showed up, but that's just wishful thinking. If they can't even have Mario and Luigi, then how could they pay for other characters' copyrights? But if Link can pop up even in his form from Majora's Mask, that wouldn't rule out other Nintendo characters.

I saw an image somewhere in which someone claimed they saw Moogles from Final Fantasy in the very back of that same cherry snapshot. Then I also saw somewhere that someone claimed to have seen Dr. Wily from Mega Man walking next to Bowser in another snapshot, but the problem with those snapshots is that the characters are too far away and blurry to say for sure.

That's a nice little cameo. I don't get one thing- That's essentially an Arcade portal.. Link's never been in an arcade game as far as I know..

I don't think many of these characters have been. But who says you can't bend the rules every now and then?

Man I keep getting more and more excited for this me just for the cameos. Wish they had bigger roles.

This movie looks phenomenal. I hope it turns out as good as it looks.

I'm pretty sure that's Deku Link, but I'm not so sure that's Link.

Is that T. Rex on the right the same one from Meet The Robinsons? Sure looks like it.

And it sure looks like Deku Link, but not sure about the other one; too far away and blurry to tell.

Definitely Deku Link, but I'm sure that means he'll be nothing more than vague background references.
