Topic: Would you want a Donkey Kong game?

I mean DONKEY KONG the Arcade game. Remade, back in the streets of Brooklyn. Plat-former where you have to go across the city to reach Donkey Kong (maybe have some sewer stages) and then climbing the buildings classic style. Reach the top and have a boss fight and after that he leaps or runs off again.

Play DK on the gameboy. That game was so fantastic. After those 101 stages, I don't think I could stand more arcade DK.

It would be a platform, jumping over trash cans, dodging cranes and bulldozers as you get closer to the construction sites. The classic style would only be when you reach the buildings. And it wouldn't be as puzzle-y as DK on gameboy.

that actually sounds awesome, Kaiser. i've been wanting to see DK return to a bit of a villain role (...after he makes a return of any sort).

Yeah, that does sound cool. Maybe it could be like a side mission or minigame to Donkey Kong Country Returns. Or just a whole new game!

I'd play it. It'd be neat on WiiWare, especially with a level editor.

So basically it'd be a Mario game, except set in Brooklyn, with a Donkey Kong-style boss level? Sounds pretty awesome to me. Call him Jumpman and make the art style as un-Mario as possible, perhaps kind of gritty and dark in mock seriousness, and it could be a super interesting game as a kind of "reboot." Let me know when you're done making this.

You had me at Brooklyn

Since Mario is born in Brooklyn (like me) and we really never seen Mario in a Big City, like New York, and giving Mario jumping moves like a Free Runner, (like jumping from Skyscrapers to Skyscrapers),and a Free roam City to do what you want (but not Kill people like in GTA).

The Story can but the same as Donkey Kong, (with Mario trying to save his Girl Friend) But with alot more Crazyness.
