Topic: Would you pick up a hitchhiker?

I wouldn't, just for the fact that a gun can easily be hidden and he/she could be plotting to rob me.

I`d probably just f*ck with him.
You know like roll down the window ask him if he needs a ride... then say “sike” and drive off.
I know I`m mean

Just for you.

I wouldn't let most people in because they could have a gun,or they could want to steal my money.
BUT...if it is a hot girl or woman, I would let her in ASAP!

I pick-up hitchhikers all the time. I used to hitch rides all the time when I was younger - and besides I can look after myself.

Hot women hitchhikers - YES
Scary looking red-necks with suspicious bulges in their trousers - NO
A family - Yes probably
Megan Fox - Well I'd pick her up but I'm not sure how much driving would be happening
Anyone from NL - Of course (not that I'd know who you are in RL but still........)

What's this bit for again?

If they had a towel and a book with DONT PANIC written in big friendly letters, then yes, I would.

What if I was hiking across North America and I stubbed my toe, tripped and dropped my map down a levee, which was then scooped up by a mischievous chipmunk.

Surely a Nintendolife hitchhiker's ID card would be in order.

Didn't do it recently. was dark when i saw him. Be nice to help and I don't feel good about note helping, but what if you pick up THAT ONE wrong person? Only takes one time and there are lowlives who prey on people who try to help.

*Edit (I'm not just talking about robbers either.)

Depends on where you're living. During my brief stint in New Orleans the past two months, I was certainly wary of anyone asking for a ride, but I wouldn't hesitate in my hometown. Got to live a little, and I don't really feel like I'm part of a community if I ignore everyone beyond the walls of my car, home, office, etc. Topping even picking up a hitchhiker, I recently housed three guys on tour in my little apartment for a weekend after meeting at a bar. Putting complete trust in random strangers is certainly not 100% safe, but what is? And few experiences are as rewarding as helping out a stranger and meeting someone new.

Kind of an odd topic, by the way.

Come on, friends,
