Topic: Wost food you ever had!

i was totally about to say natto, though i can't say i ever had the chance to be offered sushi made with it, thank goodness... DDD:

Anything my ex girlfriend's mother made. God she could ruin ramen noodles. ugggggggh I am glad those years are over !

I got tricked into eating squid once. A buddy of mine took me to a restaurant and ordered Kalimari for both of us. I had never heard of it before so I thought what the heck I'll try it. As I was taking my first bites I said... Mmm not bad. Tastes like chicken. What is it? Then he said Squid and I nearly barfed all over my plate. LOL.

I'd never encountered it until the aforementioned sushi, but now I know to run the other direction if I see it again, in any form.

@warioswoods: i don't know if you watched them prepare your sushi for you at that place, but i used to have lunch with my Japanese co-workers while i was over there, and some of them loved the stuff... it came in a little plastic cup, and after opening it (and one girl would always take an appreciative sniff... gag me!), apparently the procedure is to stir it up thoroughly... ugh, it was always just a bean-filled mass of big, long, sticky strings of fermented grossness that reeked of feet. horrible to watch.

i did try a bite out of politeness (and just to say I had!) but never again will i eat that stuff. D:

Alternating chocolate (M&M's) with popcorn is friggin AWESOME!! One of my favorite treats at movie theaters (when I feel like spending 8 bucks on popcorn and 4 bucks on the anemic-sized package of M&M's)

Also can't stand tripe.

Lemon ice cream. Lemon has got to be the worst fruit I ever tasted, I'm surprised I didn't even gag from it. I only ate one once; this year; during summer; in Rome. [True story]

Can't believe I'm seeing cheese, onions, and avacado in here. That's halfway there to a great sandwich! If those are the worst things you've ever eaten, ya' need to start expanding your cuisine a bit.

Basil ice cream. That's not another one of my lame jokes. I actually had honest-to-god basil-flavored ice cream in Rome. It was absolutely repulsive!

You guys hate a lot of good food. I wouldn't say pigs feet is the worst food EVER, but it felt gross as I was eating it. My friends grandmother had cooked it, and it was the first time I had ever even attempted to eat it. There was also one Thanksgiving at her house where I ate it a little as well. When I have to eat it, I want to gag so bad, that my eyes turn red and start to water.

If you thought it tasted good, why does it matter which animal it comes from? Do you puke out your hot dogs if someone tells you it's skin is pig intestines? Silly kid.
Also, calimari is good food.

Can't think of anything overly awful I've had, but for some reason I decided to try bubble gum-flavored ice cream once. What made anyone think THAT would be a good idea.

Blue cheese bread.

If you want to hear disgusting, try some grilled asapragus. I once tried some as my aunt's boyfriend cooked us that. I decided to try one, since I liked normal asapragus. However, once I ate those grilled asapragus, I could not stand the taste and couldn't finish eating it.

Never again do I want to eat a grilled asapragus.

"Squid Jerky" as you call it, is one of my favorite foods. It's actually called "prepared squid" but whatever. Anyway, I used to get that all the time when I lived in California, and now that I'm in Kentucky, it's quite a bit harder to find because "exotic" foods to the midwest consists of Taco Bell.

The worst thing I've ever had was this disgusting concoction I had at a performing arts camp I went to one summer. They called it grits, but it was nothing of the sort. It was...really bad. It was so bad that the head of the camp didn't even eat it, and he's in charge of all the organic, super-healthy food choices.
