4 Swords Adventures, most definitely. It and Zelda II were the only Zeldas I truly hated (though as some of you may know, I wasn't a big TP fan either).

I LOVED TP. I think no matter what game came out, people wouldn't have liked it as much as the others. That's how legendary series work, nothing is as good as the last because people always build up suge huge expectations.
Keep in mind this is personal preference, but I wasn't a huge fan of Majoras Mask. Just didn't really like the change of layout too much.

yeah Four Swords Adventures was next to godliness with 4 people...I still have yet to play a co-op game that was that enjoyable. Period. Resident Evil 5 comes close though...Nintendo!!! Online Four Swords--get on it.
I honestly haven't completed a single non-DS 3D zelda...Majora's Mask lost me the quickest, but none of them have ever managed to hold me past the second-dungeon mark despite being impressive games. I guess by that logic, Majora's Mask, despite hearing a lot of newfound praise for it.

CDI. Wasn't within 12 years, but I heard it was pretty terrible.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Any of the 3D zelda's, take your pick.

I don't think there is a "worst" Zelda game. I think the "least good" Zelda game is probably Minish Cap, but my only complaint with it is that the story is a little flat. But the game is darn fun nonetheless.

Four Swords Adventures. I never did finish that game. Of course, I never played it with friends, but the single-player is the "worst" Zelda experience in the last 12 years.
