dont write down ET or Superman if u havent actually played them.
the worst game ive ever played is probably rugrats castle capers for GBA. i borrowed that game from my friend in exchange for a perfectly good frogger game. well he stole my copy and i was left with a crappy game. the sound is terrible, the level designs are brutal, and hit detection? dont even get me started

Oh I HAVE played ET. It might not be the worst, but it really is close. Gilligan's Island might nudge it out thought.

I played ET and completed it; I didn't think it was that bad, just not brilliant.

I gave Karate Phants a 1, so that's definitely up there, but having played many crappy Atari 2600 games it's kind of diffcult to say what is the worst.

I really think the only people that say ET are those that saw it on AVGN and don't know the history of it. Man...I'm trying to think...usually I know what I'm about to get myself into so I shy away from absolutely horrible games...Ok, got it. Back when I owned a 2600, there were 2 Football games. One good (for 2600 standards) one terrible...I got the terrible one. All I remember is the supposed players looked like blobs of flickering light and your whole team, for whatever reason, moved in unison. Example, you'd throw the ball (barely know you caught it) and all of a sudden you have two other players at your side moving with you...I guess they're blockers but you'd never know unless you had an extremely powerful imagination, which I guess I did since I figured them to be blockers...anyways, game play and graphically, even for 2600 standards, this game made Pac-Man for the 2600 look and play like Res. Evil 4.

I think you'll encounter some hostility if you make that opinion more widely known, but I don't like Super Mario Bros. 3 or Mario 64 and I'm still intact...

.....I am ashamed to have played Charlie's Angels, Superman 64, and E.T. But nothing is worse than: Dr. Jekel and Mr. Hyde.

SUPERZELDAMAN: Endless Ocean isn't that bad !

I think I remember that. It's the original Atari Football, right? I remember all their orignal sports games were crap and then they came out with the RealSports series which was much better received towards the end of the 2600's life cycle.

...and I'm extremely vocal about my dislike for 3D Zelda and Mario games and I still have all my limbs...

Bingo! That was it! And it was the RealSports version that I wanted...just a young gamer who thought football was football...boy was I wrong...

Nintendork

Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (on vNES, this abomination is the most unplayable piece of **** that I've ever played), Mario RPG (they took the concept of level grinding, and cliche story and went completely over excessive with it) and Jet Grind Radio ( this game would be fantastic if they took out the annoying police, and that BS TIME LIMIT!!!!!!).

That's why you're still a kid.

I'm not going to argue the other two but the level grinding argument for Super Mario RPG has always baffled me and I can only assume you've never played a Dragon Warrior game. I level grind just about as much for SMRPG as I do for any other RPG and I have no patience for it. i'm the type of gamer who will go into a boss fight with the level minimum to beat it and same went for SMRPG. In fact, I've beaten the game doing very little if any grinding outside of just going through a level once maybe, MAYBE twice. Dragon Warrior demands level grinding to an insane level over any other RPG series I've personally played (a lot of series I haven't played). If you find yourself having to grind a lot in SMRPG then I wouldn't question the game, but question your level as an RPG player.

Amem. I managed to go through the first time with basicaly no level griding. I was a little kid, and as stupid as it sounds, it never occured to me to go back and smack the living s*it out of easy enemies in order to level up. Made it through the game just fine, but the Boss after the Shark, the Rangers and the Final boss gave me a helluva time.

I can't think of a really bad game I played, since I tend to wait out b4 making a purchase or trade for a game to make sure I really will like it. But I can uniquivocaly say Sonic Unleashed was the most fustrating. The day sections were INCREDIBLE, but curse the dang wolf Sonic!

I say if they would have taken Sonic Unleashed and split it into two games, they would have had great reception and sold very well. But together, it was an abomination to a game that otherwise would have been amazing.

Nah, actually i guess it's a good game, i just totally hated it.

Worst might possibly be a game that i actually like -- in a weird way -- Laser Blast for the Atari 2600. It is abysmally boring (perhaps i am just beyond it's challenge level), yet i will still sit and play it for long periods of time, kind of like the way you might watch an hourglass. Zap zap zap. Next screen. Zap zap zap. Next screen. Zap zap zap ...
