Ben 10 was great for the first two seasons. Like, easily one of the best action cartoons I've seen. It went waaaaaaaaaay too long, though. Like evey cartoon does that's not canceled before it gets going. Comedies I can understand, but action cartoons with actual stories need a strict limit to how long they can run.

I only thought the original run was okay. Not my favorite, but not anywhere near as annoying as it is now. Actually I found its sister series, Generator Rex, to be much more interesting. The major problem I have with story driven action programs is that most of them tend to end without a proper conclusion.

talk about it.... when they don't drag it until it simply dies out, it ends out of the blue on a random episode or have a rushed half baked end...

@Red_XIII Bakugan? Yes, actually. It's rather decent for a toy-based show. The plot wasn't really original, but the build-up was above average and well-written.
School Days, on the other hand, is a really good one. Animation quality wasn't too overwhelming, but the plot and characters were rather interestingly developed. And the twist around the last 3 episodes wasn't surprising, but the outcome really stood out.
Both of those surpass Kill la Kill and Shingeki no Kyoujin, especially in terms of good storytelling.

Kill la Kill just wastes time on building up interesting things, only to throw them away for the worst excuse plot (friggin' aliens?! LAAAAAAAMEST BULL EVER!!!) you can imagine. Add to that the pointlessly uninspired characters and bad dialogue, and the result is just what kills the animé business.
Shingeki no Kyoujin is a similar case, but the story is pretty much over halfway through, and then it boils down to implausible battles and battlers (Wow, so you're a titan, too? And you can control it? Totally makes sense.) because there's no interesting stuff left to make a plot out of. And the combat choreography is just plain awful.

But I can't say I've watched Beyblade ever since the first series ended, so I have no word on that.

Let me guess, you think Boku no Pico is the greatest piece of art ever created by human hands? Your trolling is quite blatant.

Since two of the users brought it up: I haven't watched Uncle Grandpa (and I'm glad I didn't), but I hear that it's the worst WTF in animation since ... well, the last worst WTF in animation.

I actually don't have a problem with Uncle Grandpa. It's gotten a few laughs out of me. For series I find really awful that have been on CN in recent times there's Johnny Test, Teen Titans Go! and Annoying Orange.

I watched The Problem Solverz. Without that extremely ugly as sin artstyle, it actually would have been enjoyable. The series was nowhere near as bad as it's Adult Swim pilot episode.

Which is usually due to poor planning, hence why I say that a story driven show needs to have a stricter schedule. Seasons last 22-26 episodes for most cartoons, IIRC, so seriously, maybe they should focus on making the shows only last one or two seasons. That's plenty of time for most types of stories.

There's an Annoying Orange TV show?! It wasn't bad enough that it was annoying on YouTube?!? It wasn't bad enough that there's merchandising based on this aptly titled fruit?

I've only seen tiny tidbits of Johnny Test (never a full episode) and all I can say is: what bold black outlines it's got? What curious hairstyle the kid has got? What... shenanigans it pulls off? Is there a punchline that it's trying to convey? Maybe it's a sign that I'm just not missing out on this one.

As for Teen Titans Go!; the fact that they got the original voice cast of the original Teen Titans TV series is impressive, and it is quite colorful. And while there's no contesting that Teen Titans will always be the best, I guess Go! was the animation company's way of pondering: "Say, what does this quintet do in their off time? Let's come up with as many crazy shenanigans our crazy minds can possibly conjure up, including one episode where everyone literally dies... no, we will not explain how they came back to life the next time you see them! And let's throw in that thing that Chester A. Bum exclaimed often in his Thor: The Dark World review: COMEDY!!!" While I don't hate it necessarily, I do understand why others would as it's technically not a good show, and the tone is not as serious as Teen Titans was (the original is the best). I find it curious that the creators even came up with this to begin with.

There is a show called Beware the Batman (ummm, gee, that title was necessary), and while I don't think it's bad (or even the worst thing I've seen), I find it highly distracting that everyone (including Batman and a now bulked up Alfred) is now CG. I've only seen one episode of it on a plane ride a year ago, and I thought it was okay. There's a character called Katana; she's decent. Yeah, maybe it's my overt fondness of the '90s animated Batman series or the live action versions that I've seen; but the CG mixture of Batman (outside of current video games) is something I never thought I'd witness; and now I'm wondering if it was a good thing that I witnessed it. I don't know.

Never saw The Problem Solverz so I have nothing to say about it.

yeah, sad thing they're more worried about making long series so they can sell more toys to the kids, who really don't care if the show is dragging as long as it keeps the action scenes rolling...

I've found lately that the number of episodes granted to most story driven series have been getting shorter (13-20 episodes per season), resulting in rushed plots and a lot less character development. In some cases the writing is so rushed that plot holes will pop up way more often. And then there's the worst case scenario where half (or less than half) of a series will air, and then the series will go on hiatus, airing those same episodes until new episodes premiere months later, or until it's just removed from rotation. Other problems include the shows being assigned to a death slot hour or being migrated to a premium cable channel.

@Sergio151 - yeah, there's that too. Not as serious as in the original series.

You want to see pointless and creepy? Then you should go watch Fish Hooks; that is the most disturbingly creepy and pointless show that the '10s decade ever spewed out (and that was back in 2010). Just thinking about it gives me the chills. shudders Especially that puke-pile they call animation, ewwww.

There was that episode when Silky (you know, Starfire's pet silkworm) ran away temporarily, stopped some crimes, kinda-sorta hooked up with someone (or was it the hooker that did that to Silky after he saved her, either way it's very unbecoming) and then came back to the T mansion. And there was that episode when Beast Boy and Cyborg tried to make a Pizza Man late so they wouldn't have to pay for the pizza when it was late. And there was the episode where Robin had to take a driver's test with a crook. And there was the episode where Cyborg was the leader of Teen Titans but it didn't go very well. And there was the episode... I could go on about this. And yeah, they're off-duty specials aren't anywhere near as well executed as Teen Titans.

I actually sort of, kind of, liked The Problem Solverz for some twisted reason.

I'll post my friend code once I have a better team ready for Pokemon X, for battling.

TwilightV

Yeah, Fish Hooks was bad. To think Greenblatt went to that after Chowder. At least his upcoming show looks good.

Gonna have to echo Sergio151. New Teen Titans had humor that made me laugh and even feel a bit nostalgic. Go! had humor so bland that it didn't even get a small smile out of me.

I agree with Fish Hooks, SpongeBob, Fanboy and Chum-Chum, but the Flaming Thongs is up there. It is a horrible show involving Australian stereotypes, horrible animation and horribly dumb generic plotlines.

@ Byronic Indiana Jones
You know what bothers me the most about Fish Hooks? Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls, was involved in that POS in its first season; just knowing that makes me feel dirty, uggggh. Gravity Falls is a much better show, and I actually like watching that one. And it's actually clever, sweet, ingenious, and not meanspirited; also, it's FUN. The Season 1 finale was awesome (and Bill Cypher's a fun character too), with Mabel saving the day with "The GRAPPLING HOOK!"; it's also a lead-in to Season 2, which I liked about that episode.

@Sergio151 - I think they made the biggest BEEPING mistake ever. "Oh, come now! It's not like fewer people have access to Disney XD than they do Di--" >=( "Oh!" Haven't they learned since The Weekenders got unceremoniously cancelled back in 2004 (back when it was Toon Disney) that this is a bad idea? It was doing great in Disney Channel, why have it now exclusively air on a channel that nowhere near as many people own than Disney Channel? Also, pairing it along the likes of tasteless filth like Lab Rats, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, and all the other "EXTREME" shows on that channel; also a big mistake. I don't want people to pass over Wander Over Yonder (as it's a really damn good show in my book) because it's now part of a channel that rarely makes good Disney XD exclusive programs (exceptions of course being Tron: Uprising, Motorcity, Aaron Stone; and even they get cancelled after a short run in favor of crap over crap over crap over CRAP). ... I already nearly blew a gasket talking about It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, so I'm going to stop here before I give myself a heart attack. I don't like the decision they made, I'll just leave it at that.

And I forgot about "Teen Titans Go!" How can you make a dark cartoon and make it a comedy?

Who are you?

The G1.5 one, involving boy troubles
G3 has no show, otherwise it would be here

@baba_944 - Indeed. And the worst thing about it: it doesn't just apply to Teen Titans Go! There's other shows or movies that suffered the same fate.
