Both are very popular among the Wii community one allows players to play old classics the other allows you to play new games. My question is if you had to choose one over the other which one would it be?

So many good games, so little money to spend.

Virtual Console, no question. Only loss would be Mega Man 9 and Bit.Trip.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

That's actually very hard for me.... But I'm leaning more towards WiiWare.

I would definitely have to go with WiiWare. I mean, where else can you buy brand new games for your Wii for ten dollars or less that are actually worth playing (with the exception of a few that are fifteen dollars)? However, if the Virtual Console was to start pumping out all the rarest hits every week (Earthbound, Mother 1, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, Clock Tower, Seiken Densetsu 3, etc.) instead of stuff like Alex Kidd in Miracle World (not that this is necessarily a bad game, but you get my point) then I would be a little bit more fond of it. Particularly if there were many more games on the virtual console that Americans have wanted for a long time but have never quite made it to America (well, at least not legally (only through emulators and such)) like many of the games mentioned in the above list, then I would like the Virtual Console a lot more. It's not that I don't like the virtual console, but it could be so much more than it has been so far. In the end, however, even if the virtual console started pumping out all of the greatest stuff every week, I think I would still have to go with WiiWare because we can't get WiiWare games anywhere else. We at least have access to the Virtual Console games if you still have the original systems. So, with that said...I choose WiiWare!!!! lol

A house divided cannot stand. Actually I would go with the Virtual Console since that is the reason I bought a Wii. However I do think the Wii Ware library is improving very much.

Virtual Console.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Defindently the Virtual Console. As a matter of fact, it's my favorite thing about the Nintendo Wii.

Virtual Console.
There's only a handful of "good" games on WiiWare and I don't even like some of those (I thought Bit.Trip:Core was terrible, but I never played Beat).

Vc has better games. i only have 3 wiiware games cause most of them are not worth the money, and only last you about 1 hour until you get bored of it. and most are just really stupid. VC is where its at!

i have to go with vc. there are so many great old games being opened up to a new generation that has never seen them. wiiware is great, but its hard to make a really good new game that can simply be downloaded for a small amount of money.

Wiiware has been good to me, but the VC has nostalgia on it's side.

Hmmm....well I have more VC games than WW..I think that wii ware is just having more interesting games lately unlike when it started when it only had puzzle games.

I guess this 2010 will be much better.

Digiki

Virtual Console, no question. Only loss would be umm...nothing. Dr. Mario would be the best game I've downloaded, and without a WW release it'd probably be on the VC already.

I'm really not going to decide but I will give this piece of information:

On the VC, we will eventually get all the best games, and we will beat them completely. but what happens when we beat all of the best games? WiiWare may not have all of those classic games which are awesome, but there will always be new WiiWare, but just not as many as the quality VC in the short run.

That will be quite a while from now, but still....

VC. Wiiware has some good titles, but the VC is beats it in both quality and quantity.

VC most def. WW games are super short usually and just can't compete with the greatest classics from previous generations. There's a small hand full of titles that are worth it but most are crap.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.
