I got a problem on the browser, i just went to a chuggaaconroy video, when i clicked on it it froze, and it kept freezing! the Wii U was my favorite console to use YouTube w/out using the app, I Deleted my cookies, reset settings, Made Miiverse english only and all that and it's STILL freezing, if anyone had an experience like this or has a solution, put it on this to help other because this problem is happening to other recently. I wonder if i should wait

The same is happening with me. I have seen people put stuff up on Nintendo's tech support forums and on various other forums concerning the same issue. I was going to contact Nintendo about the issue but their support line is apparently too busy. The issue started to popup early September when Youtube modified their web player.
I cannot fault Youtube for this because the issue is only happening on a few devices and these types of issues are not uncommon on web browsers so I am not really going to take it out on Nintendo; but what I will take out on Nintendo is why they built the Wii U's OS in a way that a simple web browser crash will take down the entire system, I mean common haven't they implemented memory protection in the Wii U's OS already, the most that should happen with a crash like this is the user having to hold down the Home Button until the browser force quits and not by having to restart the entire system (sorry for this rant, but I just lost my Wind Waker progress because I decided I wanted to take a break and watch a Youtube video).
Anyways, I would say that you should use the youtube app (as horrible as it is) until Nintendo patches the web browser in an upcoming update. You might also want to call their customer service line or email them. I am sure they know of the problem already, but the more pressure people put on them, the quicker they will fix the issue.
YouTube on the internet browser is jacked right now. If you actually care to watch YouTube on Wii U, your only choice is trying to use the app. I've had freezes on YouTube.com as well, but the app seems to work fine.
The app isn't even that bad, IMO. I'd rather watch it on the browser, too, but only because I'm not limited to only YouTube on the browser.

I'm having the same problem as well. Since it doesn't appear to be an isolated problem, Nintendo should be working on a fix for it.

I just contacted Nintendo and the rep told me that they are aware of the issue and they are working with Youtube to fix it; meanwhile, she recommended that we should use the Youtube app until the issue is resolved in the browser. Hopefully they will fix it soon.
Well, after seeing the replies, i'm relieved that my Wii U is not going insane, so I hope YouTube can fix this with Nintendo, so I will have to use that App.
Well, I feel comforted. Now when the IB works like before, I will have to earn my Bookmarks back..

They must have changed the video output format to something pretty weird...
Really, as long as YouTube supports HTML5, this shouldn't be a problem at all. The Wii U doesn't even playback much of anything in HD through the web browser, though it technically can.
