Topic: Wii Internet Problems

Title. It's just been really slow lately, especially trying to watch videos. They've all been ending up kinda laggy. I don't know what the problem is, I reset my Wii Online settings, and turned WiiConnect24 off to see if that would help, then I turned the system off, hard reset it, turned it back on 10 seconds later, and same problem, so I don't think there's anything I can do on my Wii to help the connection. Anybody have this problem before, or know how to fix it? Thanks.

I can't even watch videos on the Youtube site anymore for some reason. They work fine on other sites though. I also have the same problem, but I have no clue what to do about it.

the internet channel has been crap since the day i updated it.
the only reason i did was because the adobe flash player was supposed to be much better. but it`s come at a cost of poor speeds on virtually every other aspect of the channel.
as far as i`m concerned, it`s not an upgrade that nintendo provided, but in truth, it`s opposite of just that.
it does seem odd aswell, that when nintendo released the recent internet channel update, that it came around the same time that nintendo decided to give it away for free.
as for youtube, there`s a little arrow pointing diagonally upwards, at the top of each video that says, "show in next window", when you hover the wii pointer over it. click on that, and the video will load up that way.

Face it, the wii (and DSi) internet suck.

It's probably your internet connection. Try a connection test, and if your internet still doesn't work good enough, then I have no clue.

My Wii prefers channel 11 on my WiFi. I'd switch your channels around.

Browsing the Internet on anything but a proper computer is going to be a second-rate experience, period.

iPhones, Blackberries, PS3s, Wiis, etc...? Anyone who's "happy" with those experiences is either kidding himself, or has an extremely low satisfaction threshold.

Personally, I use the Wii's browser only when I'm too lazy to get up and fetch my laptop, or, in other words, quite frequently. (And then I get so frustrated, I end up fetching it anyway. You'd think I'd learn.)

my internet works just fine on the wii, so it must be your connection, but i can do pretty much anything i can can do on a normal computer except download stuff

Mine's been working just fine since the update even though i don't use it as often.

My noobish question is how do you do that?

My internet channel runs at a very nice speed. My only problem is that YouTube videos don't load anymore. The rest of the YouTube page will load, but the video will just stay as a blank white square.

That's exactly what happens to me. I haven't figured out why that happens yet either.

Try eliminating ur cookies in the internet channel options
