But seriously, best handheld game isn't Radiant Historia, award show invalid. Factual. Thread finished. Saving the game for New Thread Plus! Thank you. Good night.

The awards are in the UK so Radiant Historia couldn't have won as it didn't get a European release.

I should have just said award shows, because they're kinda all invalid (and only mostly because Radiant Historia didn't win).

Summary of the argument for dedicated handheld gaming vs 'app store' mobile gaming:

"MY GAMES ARE GAMIER THAN YOUR GAMES."

Peggle is no less of a game than your precious Super Mario.

I'll bet that's what the awards people were thinking. I'm afraid that viewers will recieve this winning pick the wrong way, giving them the ambiguous message that 'mobile gaming is finally better than dedicated handheld.'

Potential consequences(?)

  • Potential console consumers are lost (err)
  • Increased competition from mobile phones (good)
  • Fan[boy] attacks (oh no)
  • Lost credibility (Oh no for the ceremony)

Too lazy to list the positives of my investigation
