I am a 41 year old gamer... I have been a Nintendo gamer for 30+ years. While I enjoy every game system, I love Nintendo products. There is just something special about Nintendo.

I am curious as to what brought everyone to Nintendo. And also why you love Nintendo? I feel that these days, many of the current gamers have lost touch about what "Gaming" is really all about. It is about having fun and having fun experiences with games. Sadly it has become a constant war of who has the higher sales and what is most powerful...

At the end of the day, for me it is all about the games. And Nintendo has been a constant for 30 years delivering a great, fun and exciting game experience for me...

I wrote them a letter for a middle school project and they wrote back. They also replaced my Gamecube out of warranty

I'm not sure really, I'm thinking it has something to do with my dad letting me play his nes when I was super young.

I grew up with them, 'nuff said.
Also, less games with blood, gore, and the F word being said every 5 seconds. lol

I feel almost the same about Nintendo. Their games just have something else that almost no other game has.

I remember back in 2002 when I bought a PS2 instead of a Gamecube because I thought Nintendo games were no longer for me. But it was then that I realized Nintendo games had something special that I couldn't find in any other console. Since those days I've bought every Nintendo console first and if I can afford another, I buy a PS or Xbox as a secondary console.

It makes me sad that people tend to ignore Nintendo games just because, a lot of teenagers won't even give them a chance sometimes and that's when I start to worry about the future of the gaming industry, a future where heartless games are the norm, and fun and soul are overlooked

Anyway, I love Nintendo and I don't think I'll stop buying their consoles any time soon. I love my Wii U and I LOVE Splatoon and all the amazing games of its library.

What brought me to Nintendo. Simple, it was the late 80's and everyone had one.

Some of my earliest memories are of playing SMB on the NES, so Nintendo has been with me since the beginning (oh, and when I realized I was about to fall into a pit, I paused the game so Mario wouldn't die, lol).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Luigi and Splatoon.

Seriously though, my Parents had an NES, and that was the first system I played on. I was really young then, so Nintendo has been my main gaming company since, well... ever. I have a PS2 and Xbox, but like others have said, I never got the same experiences from those systems than Nintendo ones. Plus, most Sonic games are on Nintendo systems; with Sonic being one of my favorite series, it works out great that I love Nintendo!

Great stories... There is just something about Nintendo... Its my childhood. To some of us, Nintendo is a part of us (if that makes sense)... It is just something that sticks. Even at 41 years old, I still love playing the games.

Nintendo got me out of depression and they always put a smile in my face. I just never seem to understand why Nintendo is often being the one that's bullied. They are on their own yes, but if they are making wonderful games, what's the problem. Its just magic to me. And you don't often see employees happy with them working. Infact, I cried after hearing the loss of Iwata-San ( I still am sad to this day that he's gone. )

Nearly every single gaming memory that I have comes from Nintendo majority of the times. I still have the passion of making games on their systems one day.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

I don't love them as much as I used to. Their older games reflect their image as innovators, creating bold new experiences that took full advantage of the hardware and had us think about games in new ways. They don't really do this as much nowadays though, which is gradually turning me off to them.

No, my standards are fine. The quality of their games has simply decreased this gen, plain and simple.
