Topic: Why can't we have events like E3 or Comic Cons on the Southeastern Region of the United States?

I've been wondering, I do like the events like E3 and Comic Cons, but..... All of these events are happening on the Pacific region of US. Why can't we have events like these in Southeastern and Northeastern regions on United States? I understand Nintendo of America is located in Washington, but seriously, We don't or RARELY get any of those events at all in Southeast. I've heard none of these events happened in other countries other than the US (I'm looking at you Canada.) Plus, I can't ride on a plane without my parents, because I'm in my early teens. (12-13 If that counts. I'm more of a 2000's person.)

Edit: Someone pointed me that NOA HQ is not located in California. It was located in Washington.

San Diego Comic Con takes place in San Diego, and that's the major one that gets most press coverage, but the convention travels around to other cities in the US and even Canada.

But E3 is just one convention every year and if you think that they'd host it in Jackson, Mississippi over Los Angeles, California, you're nuts.

The OP mentioned that he thought that the headquarters was in California, which is what @sinalefa was responding to.

(The way the OP worded his question, it feels as if he thinks E3 & the big Comic-Con event are in California, only because he thought the Nintendo headquarters was there as well, even though it's not. Though, being in Washington, it's still on the west coast...)

Northeast is Maine
Southeast is Florida

So your options are being anywhere near Florida or trying to attract excitement near Maine.

Yeah, I completely get why these parts are ignored actually.

Is there a reason why it has to be sitting on the coast? What's wrong with Atlanta, GA or NYC?

There are tons of gaming, comic and general "geek" cons all over the country, most of them just aren't huge fests and may not be as well known.
Do a little research.

Atlanta has a big fest, but I think it's anime

Ohio has one of the US's biggest anime conventions in Columbus, but for other kinds of cons we got to go to either New York or Chicago.

At least where I live (Florida) we get Megacon, but that's mainly just comics. I like comics a lot but I wish it had video games.

You have to be 18 to even go to E3 so does that really even matter?
Either way, there is still plenty of great conventions on the east coast. Granted not on the the same scale as those (With the exception of PAX East which still is much smaller then those two.) But that's just less of a chance to get some awful sickness.

Hurricanes and other weather problems. It would be a great strategic location for a winter convention though.

Really? There's nothing in the midwest (I live in Missouri). E3, PAX, it's all on the coasts!
