I thought about going out to see if it was being celebrated, but everything seems quiet. I'm not really a celebrator of Cinco De Mayo, but I enjoy festivals and love Mexican music (my favorite Zelda song is Gerudo Valley) so I try to find an event if possible.
No. Not even when I lived in Mexico did anyone celebrate it. Heck, Americans make even more fuss about it as far as I know. Im sure there is something going on in Puebla though. (Town were the battle happened from which is celebrated with Cinco de Mayo) Other than that, I think you get the day off work/school. [youtube:anTD4chmt6Q]
Like all red-blooded Americans, I too partake in the time honored tradition of stealing other country's holidays and turning them into mindless drinking-fests!
Hooray for the melting pot! Pass the tequila!
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery

From what I was told, Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the Mexicans repelling a French invasion or something. I don't celebrate it for the roots or history, I just like fiestas.
