I make my own decisions when it comes to buying games, but I do love this site's reviews (Sean Aaron's review of Chibi-Robo!did convince me to seek it out and purchase it, though)...

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
What's a bagel? (Wow, really dating myself with that reference!)
While this isn't the only place i check out reviews, it is the one i trust the most, since most of the reviewers either share my same gaming tastes and the reviews are actually informative. I hate when i read a game review that spends like 90% talking about graphics or story and barely even mentions how the game, you know, actually plays.
I can actually talk to the reviewers here, everyone is nice (even though I don't agree with everyone's opinions) and most importantly... it's just Nintendo. I like to wake up and browse for any news, and I will always have something I could be interested in because I just have a Wii and DS. I can go to IGN or Gamestop but there's also PS3 and Xbox news which I don't care for because I don't have. ALSO you guys review Wiiware games up the Donkey Kong. That was the main reason I showed up here, the Wiiware reviews. I was going to say something else but I forgot. Also Wiiloveit is ok... no offense Knux... just that this place updates frequently like a swarm of Beedrills working. The only thing that would make it perfect for me is if Josh Thomas was here.
Definitely a site I check almost daily to see what's new and if you want a review of any download game Wii or DS, there's no other place to check, really.
I like Zero Punctuation for the laughs, Gametrailers for the timeliness (even if I disagree with pretty much all their conclusions and the decimilised scoring is awful) and the Bit Block for in-depth video (though Josh is more generous than NL).

I watch their video podcast - invisible walls, and while I do think those guys are earnest in their love for games, they're all idiots when it comes to understanding the games industry. They don't understand how the business works, and I'm not sure like that they are able to get those misguided opinions out there under the guise of "fact."
That said, I do enjoy their reviews. Having the visual element to it does help me to understand what the reviewer is on about.
The only shows I watch even semi-regularly on Gametrailers are Pach Attack! and The Bonus Round. The latter is pretty decent, but I despair at the fact that the panel is often excited about seeing essentially the same games appearing on the PS3 and 360 over and over again. Pachter at least recognises that the most popular games of the past year (on the HD consoles, anyway) represent stagnation in the industry and are a sign that it's in trouble. He gets a lot of stick from some parts, but he seems to know his stuff.

See, I don't agree with that in the slightest. It's a sign that the industry is ready to change, yes, but in trouble? I find the Gametrailer commentators blinded by their "hardcoreness," often, which detracts from the insightst that they do come up with from time to time.
But in all fairness to them, they do make me think - which is really what the job of a critic should be. So props to gamestrailers!
I agree with a lot of the sentiments here. I'm turning to my Wii for new gaming experiences more and more, which is in contrast to last year when I bought a PS3. My problem with the PS3 is that I feel that I've played most of the games before just with less grapical oommph, games like God of War 3, COD Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 are essentially the same experiences as what we've had before. Maybe I'm just going through a Nintendo phase, but I'm finding much more enjoyment in games like Sonic Colors and Donkey Kong Returns. They just feel fresher. I think Ninteno is actually winning back hardcore gamers with titles like this and as the HD consoles are creatively stagnating.
I use this site almost exclusivley for Retro and VC reviews (its what brought me here, well VC reviews!,in the first place). And while I do use NL for Wii and DS games I usually use a few other review site as well before making a purchase (I like to research! ) NL is great for Nintendo news though and its nice that the reviewers frequent the comments and forum sections regulary and are open to disscussion.Thats my favorite bit about NL TBH , the community. I just hope that as NL's empire grows that this is not lost. Love you NL
I use a few sites, but NL is definitely my favorite. I also use Capcom-Unity, Metroid-Database, Nintendo, Zeldadungeon, SmashBoards, GameTrailers, MetaCritic, and SydLexia for kicks.
