When I was younger I played on Millsberry.com and enjoyed it immensely upon trying to visit it to gain some nostalgia I found out it closed down. So I am wondering how many people here used to play on that website.

Never heard of it.

The flash gaming sites that were big in my middle & high school were Miniclip (this was the most popular), Candystand (I think this one was actually owned by the company that makes Lifesavers candy, lol), something "Monkey Games (?)", and Addicting Games (I wasn't big on this last one).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

It was great you could make an avatar, you had to get a house, buy food for your character, you could own pets, and you made money by playing the games that they had.

So it was a bit like Neopets without the neopets (and hopefully better games)? That doesn't sound bad at all. Too bad it's gone.

And Newgrounds. But we don't talk about Newgrounds...

Also Kongregate before they got bought out by Gamestop I recall being pretty popular. Which is why Gamestop bought them out and promptly ruined them.

Miniclip was popular at my schools too. I wasn't fond of addicting games either I don't know why though.

yes, just like neopets it didn't have as many games as neopets but I do remember them being way more fun.

I remember getting a bunch of Car Beds and selling it to my brother for cheap. Then he would have a yard sale and sell them for a lot of money.

Yeah, I remember in the later years of high school, Miniclip started getting some games that were darn near close to "real" games (they had this one 16 bit looking platformer with a steampunk look I think, and a fully 3D dogfighter that looked cool, but the school computer was too crappy to run it well).

By far the most popular games were billiards & mini golf though, as far as I can remember (I think there was even a stint where Yahoo! Pool got a lot of playtime at school as well.

As for Millsberry, after looking at that wiki I think I remember seeing it advertised on a box of cereal a long time ago, but we didn't get the brand name that often, so that's probably why I never heard much about it.

I used to like seeing what deals I could get in yard sales.

Miniclip did get to a point where it was having good games I used to play a game called outrun on there. It was a 3d car game where you had to destroy all the other cars by wrecking them and get to the end and it was really hard.

Hmm, maybe with all this talk of other flash gaming sites, maybe you could make this the "Flash Gaming Thread"? Just a thought.

Also, I should totally check to see if any of these sites (if they're still running) ever put any of their games on the Google Play store. Would seem like a good fit, IMO.

Millsberry was quite fun. I remember using my parents' e-mail (back before 3 year olds had e-mails) without their permission to make an account, and I got in trouble.

Yeah, guitars are cool.

My musical project Comet Tail made a couple of recordings.

It would be interesting to see some of these sites if they are still up because the only one I have seen in recent times is miniclip hopefully some are still up so I can relive some childhood flash game moments lol.

Did you ever play Cartoon Network Resort? (Assuming that was the actual title)

I got some fond memories of that game.
