You know, I used to hate the water temple, but now, 11 years later, since I've beaten the game an unfathomable amount of times. I love it. Ocarina is the best game ever made.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
@lz: Oh, okay. The sentence structure made me think you didn't like the original. I haven't had the pleasure of playing Master Quest, unfortunately.

@phoenix: just to warn ya, water temple's been "watered down" (hehe, pun!) but fire and spirit temples are completely different and a lot harder! Forest and shadow temples have harder puzzles and a few order of room changes

@RandomWiiPlayer, of course it wouldn't last if it were released this generation. But then, this generation wouldn't exist as we know it without Ocarina of Time. The reason it's so good is for the same reason SM64 is so good. I'm not crazy about SM64, but it created what 3D platformers strive to be.
The water level in MM is WAY harder( atleast that's how I remember it ).
I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!
The Water Temple in Majora' is a walk in the park compared the one in Ocarina. You can actually completely mess it up if you get everything out of sync, it made me want to cry, more than once. I still love it though and have developed a system for when ever I head to the bottom of the lake.
It's not hard, it's just labourious to find out what to do. As long as you know what to do, it's easy. Might take a while, is all. Which is a very similar case to the Great Bay Temple in Majora's Mask, which is in a time limit. Gyorg is also far harder than Morpha.
The Water temple did have me tearing my hair out for a while but then once I'd figured out what to do it was easy . It's a brilliantly designed, feindish dungeon though, great design. The best way to do it is to think logically and do it all in one go.I tried to leave it half done and when I came back to it I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do so I restarted it.
Dark Link made the dungeon great! I wish there were more mini-boss fights like that.
Wii FC: 5412 0162 6187 3594 Brawl FC: 0517 4738 5514 Why do I want to bring back Pluto? Cuz the 8 others bullied it and I don't approve of bullying and I am here with this pointless movement to remind people of how (in)significant it really is!
Once I figured out there is actually a basement under the central pillar that you can reach if you raise the water, it finally started to make sense as I found out the one key I missed was in there. It took me hours to figure this place out, which apparently is relatively quick.
A classmate of mine told me he got so pissed off when he was a kid playing this temple, he didn't touch the game for several months.
