Mario and luigi rpg 3 which is pretty obvious since its the best series ever

You do realize that it is now called Mario & Luigi:Bowser's Inside Story and it will be released in North America on September 14? If you had not pre-ordered it yet, pre-order it now. I had pre-ordered it, and I'm getting it on September 16.

Well, I'm gonna be only the second (I think) to say a none Ninty-Console game, but for me, Heavy Rain by an absolute mile

As for Nintendo consoles, it's difficult - Super Mario Galaxy 2 probably, but No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (@grenworthshero happy now? ), Zelda Spirit Tracks, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and maybe Other M (wasn't a fan of the Prime games, but this looks like a great direction for the series) all run it pretty close

Mario Kart Wii: 5069-4059-7720

New Super Mario Bros. Wii, definitely. Classic 2D Mario platforming w/ co-op ftw.

Down boy! No need to get testie. Yes, the art for both games are similar, but DtL is a platform game while Scribblenauts is a puzzle game with simple mission objectives. Then of course there's the former's traditional control setup vs the latters all touch. Apples and oranges, buddy.

Whether I got it wrong or right it doesn't matter my point is that Scribblenauts is not going to be THE best game on the DS. Sorry if I'm breaking your balls Odnetnin(or anyone else for that matter), but the truth must be spoken at some point. In your opinion hell yeah it can be your favorite DS game but in reality it will not be.

Theres no need to tell me to calm down when I'm already calm and have been calm on this site since I joined a year ago. If i was using Caps and/or "!!!!!!" then I could see you saying that but that was an inappropriate thing to say. Oh and FYI Brandon, comparing Zelda to Mario is like comparing DQ's Blizzards to Hardees Ice Cream in general... theres no comparison.

Just for you.

Just for the hell of it, I'm gonna list some other games coming out that I'm looking forward to:

Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Sky Crawlers
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
NSMB Wii
Metroid: Other M
Scribblenauts
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days/ Birth by Sleep
Nostalgia
Brutal Legend
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

You just destroyed your own point.
You said in my opinion it might be the best DS game evaz, but in reality it won't. Whose reality, I might ask? Are you saying that your opinion of the best DS game is reality? It actually doesn't matter if the majority of everybody agreed with you on the best DS game, because some will say different. So basically, there is no best DS game, except in your head. O.o

But about the art style, I don't think the two games (DtL and Scribble) even have the same art director, and the extent of their similarities is that they are both simple and cheerful looking games. Is there a rooster hat, or anything like it, in DtL? For me, Maxwell symbolizes everything Scribble. And Maxwell is his own character; apart from the DtL cast. Even if, on the outer edges, the games's art styles look the same to you, they have separate goals, and separate charms. They couldn't be much farther apart from each other. But then it doesn't matter to you whether you got it wrong or right.

Btw:

@Chrono+Cross Apparently awesome other handheld (and console) games. And regardless of the competition, Scribblenauts pushes one of the most innovative gameplay concepts out there, and it works. It was lauded for this alone. Also (this is an opinion), the first party Wii line-up is better than the first party DS line-up. There haven't been many third party efforts that have surpassed anything Nintendo (Wii Series games aside) on the Wii, but dozens of DS ventures have turned out as some of the best on the system. The Wii and DS libraries shouldn't really be compared anyway.

Gee, Chrono, no need to be so cross (see what I did there). You missed my point. I was being sarcastic with my Mario and Zelda comparrison due to your dtl/scribblenauts comparison. Your point is moot because , like you said, there is no comparison. Comparing DtL to Scribblenauts is like comparing Mario to Zelda. THEY'RE NOTHING ALIKE.

Other than that your right, I don't necessarily think Scribblenauts will be DS game of the year as there are plenty of top-tier titles on the way for the platform. I just want you to get the facts before rambling on about "this game is like that game and that game sucked".

Firkraag

With MPT in my possession I have to say the European release of Muramasa peaks my interest the most. That and Dragon Age: Origins

There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
