Just thought I'd point out that you can compare which is more boring, its like comparing playing your Wii to ironing, completely unrelated but I bet I can guess which you find the most boring (unless you are female /me runs from the dragon)

You make a good point

Noire

I haven't played a Harvest Moon game ever, so I'm going to say Zelda for no good reason.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I haven't played Harvest Moon because it looks so boring. Zelda can be pretty boring in spots, though.

Depends on which ones we are talking about. Not every Zelda game is entertaining in my mind and neither is every Harvest Moon. Give me games like TP and PH for Zelda games and I need a nap. Give me a link to the past though and I'm still entertained for hours. The old Harvest Moon is a snoozefest to me as well. I can't stand A Wonderful Life and A Wonderful Life 2 in the series either. But the latest HM installments, plus Rune Factories I feel are brilliant games.

At least Zelda has proper sidequests

Hey, I have to find a Hard Horn and give it to an elderly gentleman in Rune Factory at the moment. That's a proper sidequest!

I've put more time into Rune Factory since Friday than I have Zelda: Spirit Tracks since launch. That says "Zelda is much more boring" to me, and I always listen to me because I know I talk sense.

I usually get bored with adventure games like Zelda. Links Awakening was phenomenal in my opinion though but it has been the only one I have been able to get into. I did try a SNES Harvest Moon game and a N64 Harvest Moon game but I was unable to get into them ( so I found Harvest Moon to be a snore ).

Yet this whole conversation amongst us admins started because I said Link's Awakening is "deathly dull", and I stand by that. It was really, really bad. Even Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquillity is better than Link's Awakening, and Tree of Tranquillity was rubbish.

Well, firstly, it's not bad at all (although each to his own) it's very well reviewed. 90% would seem to be the average.

Secondly, it's a GameBoy game, hardly the flagship of the Zelda series. Does any Harvest Moon game compare well to A Link To The Past, Ocarina, or Wind Waker?

They've both had their high's and low's, but neither franchise is boring.

EDIT: And I like ironing.

Link's Awakening is probably the closest thing to an actual sequel to Link to the Past we'll ever get, and the mere fact that they were able to create this game on the monochrome original GameBoy hardware is utterly remarkable. It also has an amazing ending, if you've never finished it.

Plain old gamer :)

Harvest Moon is like trying to watch paint dry, except it's already dry. Link's Awakening was amazing. Prosody's taste, however, is rubbish. Harvest Moon < Zelda, in every implementation, forever.

Could someone tell me which Harvest Moon is the least boring ... I don't know anything about the game, but this topic has me interested. (It's something I could get for the DS, right?)

Well, I'm sure that there are some good Harvest Moon games, but putting it up against the Legend of Zelda series is stupid. Nothing, apart from maybe Mario, can stand shoulder to shoulder with Zelda, and not be instantly exposed as the inferior series of games.

If Mario is the heart beat of Nintendo, Zelda is the soul.

Harvest Moon is like watching a blank wall. Only it's not paint drying. The wall isn't even colored: it's plain, boring white.

Uh oh. He's back.

Zelda. I've never played a Harvest Moon game, and Zelda is boring and confusing all at the same time.
