I have to go with Nintendo. They have the Virtual Console (such as it is) and a wider variety of "family friendly" options on top of the Mature games. Their fast improving indie library really helps them as well.

PC has the most variety overall yes..... but they are lacking in Japanese games because PC gaming is not popular there.... I'm a fan of Japanese games which is why I take consoles over PC

Overall, I'd say Nintendo though for 2009/2010 tied with Microsoft. If you ask anyone what feature that was removed from Xbox 360 they miss the most chances are you'll get the response "1 vs 100". The fact that they adapted a big TV game show into a game of which you could actually win prizes was extremely special. I still remember getting into the Mob and then being eliminated by a question to do with the X Factor, of course in 2010 Kinect was released so that introduced a large variety of games too.

Wooooo, Kinect games, perhaps the worst grouping of games ever developed post 1983, at least the Virtual Boy had Mario Tennis and Wario Land.

It has Astebreed (Only on PC Afaik) and Armored Hunter GUNHOUND EX (Which is only on PSP UMD for Japan and PC).

Those are the best 2 Japanese games I have played recently.

The question was about variety, not whether the actual games were any good! Imo, Harmonix is the only company that makes good Kinect games, the rest is pretty much complete junk

I would say Sony. Virtually every genre that anyone could think of is on Playstation consoles, especially the PS2 and PS3. Want to play a fighting game, JRPG, Racer, FPS, Western RPG, Platformer, Action games,Puzzle, pretty much all genres are on the Playstation.

That's the reason why the Playstation tends to do so well. No matter what your tastes are in gaming, chances are, you'll find it on Playstation.

Xbox used to have variety, but it's kinda vanished over the last few years, and Nintendo platforms tend to have gaps when it comes to certain genres.

Sony is rubbish if you want 60fps (Which is miles better in pretty much every genre that isn't turn based).
